HCM Technical Lead

The Role

We are seeking a delivery focused Technical Lead to drive the systems roadmap, technical direction, and software configuration standards across our client’s enterprise HCM landscape. Operating under broad direction, you will guide a dedicated domain squad, translating complex functional needs into scalable, zero defect integration architectures.

This is an impact focused position where you will actively manage software release updates, design data migration strategies, and resolve complex data synchronisation anomalies to reduce technical debt. You will be the central point of coordination for balancing automated system rules across complex, multi layered employee classifications, including casual, fixed term, and permanent rosters.

The Tech Stack & Environment

Our target systems landscape spans high-volume applications and integration middleware, including:

• Core Platform Exposure: Inbound and outbound architecture configurations across Oracle Fusion HCM, Workday Core HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or legacy PeopleSoft footprints.
• Workforce & Payroll Systems: Data interfaces connecting tools like AscenderPay, Kronos Dimensions, Preceda/Dayforce, and ADP payroll modules.
• Data Integration Layer: RESTful APIs, Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, and cloud orchestration layers managed via Azure Integration Services.

What You'll Bring

• Hands on Technical Leadership: Proven experience leading technical delivery specialists, running code reviews, and enforcing environment configuration standards.
• Ecosystem Specialisation: Deep technical knowledge of enterprise HCM application architectures, release management cycles, and data transformation frameworks.
• Workforce Data Competency: Direct familiarity with customising application rules to handle complex award interpretations for hybrid casual and permanent employee matrices.
• Strategic Communication: Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to safely coordinate multi vendor delivery streams.
